Axis of Short.
I was wondering if anyone had any specific plans for this weekend. I thought it might be nice if we could get together, without our mothers even and so something fun. It seems like we haven't had nearly enough fun in our lives recently and it might be a good idea to cure it. It's just an idea, we can go have a pint or Penny if you want we can do something more kid friendly.

Mostly I'm concerned about Tav. I know what he went through can't be easy and maybe a spot of fun will cheer him up, even if just for a bit. I don't know it's just an idea. It might be a bad one, but I don't know, I just want to help. I worry about him.

I don't think that I really need to say this but the verdict on Tav is complete shit. I don't know how it happened, but he wouldn't bloody do it and the next person who asks me about it, well I'm not one for violence but they might get a very short-tempered response. I could go on but I'm certain you all know exactly how I feel about it.
Penny, how are you feeling? Are your symptoms any better? Have they got a cure? The girls keep asking and I figure nothing had changed but I wanted to check.
Thisbe, why was someone calling you a prostitute?

I have children.
Penny's contracted whatever it is and John is in Africa (I look Penny her journal though, so if you need her, you should be able to get her right quick since I think all she is doing in the hospital is scratching). Merlin knows we're all hoping Penny gets better soon (and so does everyone else, I'm looking at you Jones). It's nasty business.
Luckily my mother and aunt have offered to bring dinner over so the girls don't have to experience dinner cooked by a bachelor yet.

I've stared at the parchment in front of me for about twenty minutes trying to come up with a thought to put in this. It's bloody ridiculous is what it is is. Who attacks a Quidditch match? It's bollocks.
Poor Veronica. I don't know what to say about that, but I know - that shouldn't have happened to her. She shouldn't have died and especially not like that. It's complete shit really. None of those poor people who were murdered deserved that.

I hope everyone is well. Thisbe and Octavius, I hope you are revising for your NEWTs, but I was thinking that we could all get together when you arrive home from school. Provided the NEWTs don't kill you of course.
I also heard the rumor that businesses would stop serving without proper identification. I'm not certain that I believe it, but you know how things spread in London. I suppose that only time will tell. Sooner than later I'm certain in fact.

My identification picture is awful. I blinked and it looks like I need to comb my hair. I'm not really certain what happened, but I look terrible. So I think I might just crawl out of bed and come to the Ministry because that's what it looks like I did in my picture. It would be a completely accurate portrayal. I'm afraid security won't let me in otherwise. I just don't know what happened between the office and having my picture taken. It's not like there is that much wind in here.
I just know that I don't like it. At all.

So the rumor of the day is that they're getting rid of the Werewolf Capture Unit because everyone is a Death Eater? I didn't realize it still had employees after the last arrest. But they'll have to do something because they can't just let werewolves roam the countryside. That's dangerous.
To be on the safe side, no one had better go roam the countryside during the full moon.
I have a craving for chocolate.

I for one think it's utterly brilliant that they've got another Death Eater, no matter how they've done it. The vigilantes don't go around murdering anyone so my hat is off to them.
Penelope and I have a galleon on whether or not Thisbe winds up taller than me. I don't think she can manage, she's already a 7th year. But Thisbe if you could manage to not drink any growing solution between now and the time you sit your NEWTs, that would be utterly brilliant, love.

On the sage advice of one Nurse Finnigan, I helped out at St Mungo's the other night. I have to say that just from watching, the staff at St Mungo's is excellent. I wasn't there for very long, but as tired as they had to be, they never seemed completely overwhelmed. I was impressed although they should hardly need my accolades.
I think it goes without my saying that the events of the other night are deeply upsetting and disturbing. I hardly pretend to know the reasoning behind the actions of Death Eaters nor do I want to, but by anyone's standards their actions are deeply upsetting and more than mildly disturbing. I don't understand, nor will I ever understand, their actions or motives behind them, but I'm clearly not meant to. I hope that everyone is recovering well and my deepest condolences to those of you who lost loved ones. I am truly sorry.
In happier news, my niece and nephews are home for hols. I would say their getting tall, but I would simply mean they are getting tall for people in my family and that isn't saying a lot.
